Is the mercedes g 550 class bulletproof?

I heard that the g 550 was armored but I went online to mbusa and can't find any info. If it is actually bulletproof, then it will be better than a land rover. Thank you!|||No, it's not bulletproof. You might be able to take it to a shop that specializes in vehicle physical security to have it armored, however the cost will probalby be more than the price of the vehicle to begin with.





Mercedes does provide certain vehicles in a high-security configuration, however you can't just walk in off the street and buy one. You must submit to a thorough background investigation by Mercedes before they will even discuss the matter with you. If you don't have a solid reason for needing that level of security or if you are even tangentially involved in anything illegal, they won't sell you one.|||Mercedes also makes a military version of the G-Wagon and it can be ordered as a bulletproof vehicle but as far as the civilian version is concerned (what you can walk into a Benz dealer and purchase), no, it is not bulletproof.|||it doesnt, but i know that there is a mercedes called the s guard, its bullet proof, but i dont know if theres is a g guard? :P|||No production automobile is armored straight out of the factory.
