ofcourse im going to tune it up also

thanks to my dad %26lt;3|||One would think that a car worth nearly 50 grand wouldn't be in need of a tune up.|||awesome deal!! Yep, your dad deserves alot of hugs!!|||now listen, young lady

if you think that you're doing the right thing by asking your dad to buy you an expensive mercedes, then you ARE doing the reight thing and its not bad. but if you don't think that you are wasting your father's money by buying some useless piece of metal that will be awesome once its tuned up, then go right anead. but im sure that your conscience will catch up to you, young lady... tsk tsk tut tut

PS: THAT IS ONE AWESOME RIDE!!|||Unfortunately, I would have to say yes it is bad that your father is buying you any car you want. I was 19 when I got my first car and I payed $1000 dollars for it, used. My parents refused to hand me everything, and they damn sure weren't going to buy me some brand new car at a young age. I am 27 and I have yet to buy a brand new car. I currently drive a 2006 Chevy Malibu. I have had it since march! You are going to do what you feel like, but if I were you, I would rather my parents help me to get a car that is better suited to your age not some 50K car that is going to make you the center of attention. example... another rich kid who is too spoiled to get a job and work toward a new expensive car!|||I think those are a little more than 70Gs. Nice pick, though. Those don't need any "tune-ups", they run pretty good as is. Better option in a roll bar just in case. And be extra careful the first month 'till you get to know what it can do and don't let anybody else drive it, either.|||That's a pretty cool deal but consider other car manufactures like BMW, Landrover, and Maserati... Ok the last one was a joke.. but if you want a first car really get something safe incase of accidents. BMW is amazing, maybe a M3 or 3 series coupe/convertible. I don't trust mercedes crash ratings. (this comes from experience too...)|||No it's great. Will your dad buy me a car. That would be great too.|||its not a bad thing if your dad offered to buy you the car. if you feel you deserve it and he really wants to, then go for it. just make sure, with the kind of car you are getting, that you are prepared for upkeep and the like. mercedes-benz, bmw, etc, the oil changes, tires, etc, can be somewhat more expensive than your average car. your first car, huh? if you feel your driving skills are adequate enough to not ruin the car, go for it. i work in a lube shop and ive seen so many teen/young drivers that mommy and daddy have bought them a pricy car, and they ruin it because they arent careful. they dont want to pay for the more expensive upkeep, and they figure if anything goes wrong, well, daddy bought it, he can fix it. i dont know you, so im not saying that applies to you, im just saying. it has been my personal experience and witness that rather than having something like that just handed to you, if you throw in on it, it makes the car more personal to you, and you are likely to take a bit better care of it. hope it works out for you either way. just make sure whatever you get, stay on top of the servicing with it, and be ever-so-gracious to your father for such a gift.
