What's the maximum engine wieght for a 13 ft boston whaler?

There is a HP/weight cap. plate near the helm. Most of these have from 40 to 60 HP engines with the engine around 150 lbs. Since the capacity of the boat is people and engine/equipment combined, if you go with a larger engine, you can have only a couple people aboard. The 15 is much better if you want a bigger engine. I hope this helps. What's the maximum engine wieght for a 13 ft boston whaler?

I ran a 13 with a jack plate and 50 hp Johnson But U have to glass the bottom last 20 inches of the bottom to make it flat as it has a built in trim which make it porpoise when it come up on plane.
here is a good reference for the 13' whaler classic showing cap. spec. it shows 40hp max and 6 people max.
