NO! clean the bottom If it came painted then repaint with the same kind of paint that is on it after prep work. if it is gel coated

yes, unless you can scrub the bottom often. if you paint be sure to use a marine anti-fouling paint made for aluminum hulls. do not use the type with copper ingredient.
