Do you believe that this car has driven 2.8 million miles?

http://www.mbusa.com/heritage/high-milea…|||Yes. If a motor is properly maintained and not abused, it can last as long as you want it to last. My dad has a Chevy 2500 that has just under 500,000 miles on it and has only had frequent oil changes and tune ups with no major repairs just minor wear items that go out on any car over time.|||Sure, but how many times has it been repaired or completely overhauled?|||those cars are certified by MBZ to actually have the stated mileage on them, I believe it.|||yes I believe it

once these cars start to hit high miles

the manufacturers throw all kinds of money behind the

vehicles so they can advertise

how good their cars are

I saw commercials in the late 1990s of the first saturn

to turn 1,000,000 as well|||He's a taxi driver... of course he has put a lot of miles on his car!

My grandpa still has the same 1968 mercedes that he has had my entire life. Mercedes Diesels hold all the records for most mileage. My 1997 mercedes has nearly 200,000 on it, and still runs like new. Never had any engine trouble. The only mechanical failure I've had was a sensor burned out and that made the AC not turn on. Got the sensor fixed, and it's been working ever since.

Mercedes are great cars.|||Yeah.

If you take care of a car, it can last that long.|||definetly--have you ever seen a mercedes engine opened up-talk about a work of art and over-engineering-this one had about 470thou and a hose broke and the lady cooked it.
